MEGA PLACEMENT FAIR 2013



CII - SMS Placement Fair
23rd & 24th February 2013



It gives us immense pleasure to announce that School of Management Sciences (Technical Campus),
Lucknow (Approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to GBTU, Lucknow) is organizing a Placement
Fair in association with “Confederation of Indian Industry” (CII) on 23rd & 24th February, 2013 in its
campus.
The objective of this fair is to enhance employment opportunities for the students and offer pool of talented
students to the recruiters. We are expecting more than 3000 students of B.Tech., MCA, PGDM, MBA, BBA
& BCA to participate in this mega event. We are confident of getting participation of more than 50
companies in this Placement Fair.
A prior online registration is applicable for CII-SMS Placement Fair-2013. The registration fees for
placement fair will be ` 500/- per student. The registration fees will be payable by Demand Draft in the
name of ‘School of Management Sciences’ payable at Lucknow. You may also pay by transferring the
registration fees in Punjab National Bank A/C no. 3926002105004563 (School of Management Sciences,
Lucknow).
Students are allowed to appear in 4 companies.

NATIONAL SEMINAR ON 16 th OCTOBER 2011

School of Management Sciences –Technical Campus Lucknow is organizing a One day National Seminar on “Growth of the Indian Banking Industry: A Roadmap for the Future” on 16th October 2011.
Yet another Financial and Banking sector crisis is looming over affecting the growth and development worldwide with severe debt crisis of Euro zone, High inflationary pressure in India and low GDP growth in US .In this backdrop the significance of this seminar is without a shred of doubt and it provides opportunity to various stakeholders to come together and discuss the issues and challenges.
The   Chief Guest Dr. Amrendra Sahoo, Chief Gen. Manager, RBI will  address the august gathering  on “Growth of the Indian Banking Industry: A Roadmap for the Future” followed by Guest of Honour : Mr. V. K. Joel, Gen. Manager, PNB  Mr. R. K. Agarwal, Gen. Manager, SBI during inaugural session.

Technical Session 1 on Rural Banking, Agriculture & Rural Development: Supporting The Inclusion Aspiration will be Chaired by Mr. S. K. Chattarjee, Director BIRD, Lko and other eminent speakers are Dr. Sanjeev Kapoor, Assoc. Prof., IIM, Lko. P. K. Pattnaik, Chairman Aryavart Gramin Bank,Mr. C.P. Shukla, Retd. SMS Lucknow had organized an Industrial cum excursion trip in Titan

SMS Lucknow had organized an Industrial cum excursion trip in Titan and
Sarasai, Dehradun between 8-11 October, 2012.Students of PGDM and MBA
participated in Industrial Visit along with faculty members (Dr. Santosh
Singh, Mr. Satyajeet Asthana, Ms.Ratna Yadav of SMS-IMS Lucknow).
Students of management interacted with factory head Mr. Subrahmanyam of
Titan and our students posted specific questions on Titan’s product, their
marketing strategies and employability.
Similarly D.V.Singh – H.R. and Admin. Head of Sarasai made them visit the
entire manufacturing plant and inform them about export and import
documentation process and the overseas marker product.
The trip was successfully accomplished.

The program was inaugurated by Presiding Officer   Honorable Dr. Amerendra Sahoo ; Expert in Banking Industry and Chief Guest P.K Bansal ; GM Union Bank of India. It also witnessed participation of other Excellencies from different sphere of Banking.  Program was graced by Mr. S.K Chatterjee; Director BIRD Lucknow (Banker Institute of Rural Development), Mr. P.K Pattanaik Chairman; Aryavrat Gramin Bank (Sponsored by Bank of India), Mr. C.P Shukla Retd. M.D., UP Cooperative Bank Ltd. Dr. Sanjeev Kapoor ;Associate Prof  IIM –Lucknow ,Mr. Ashwani Kumar Singh Retd. DGM PNB, Mr. Hari Mohan AGM Allahabad Bank, Mr. Vikas Mathur, AGM, Reg. Head-Retail Banking, ICICI Bank, Mr. Sujeet Ku-DGM IDBI Bank, Mr Apurv Gupta, Dy. V.P., Axis Bank .The experts discussed various issues affecting Banking Industry , Rural Credit and challenges of Consolidation and Competition for Indian Banking industry in globalised economy.

Simultaneously Academician and Research Scholars got opportunity to analyse conceptually and present papers on different issues confronting Indian Banking Scenario. The Judges were honorable J.V. Vaishampayan , Dean, Commerce Faculty University of Lucknow and  honorable B.L. Bajpai Ex-HOD Department of Business Administration, University of Lucknow. Paper presenters compete for coveted Best Paper award under category of Faculty and Research Scholars. The Winner under faculty category was Varsha Dhande and Sujeet Gupta SSA Institute Kanpur and Runner Up was Mr. Shashi Kr Gujarati SMS Varanasi. The Winner under Research Scholar category was Syed Qamar Abbas PGDM-III Sem SMS Lucknow and Runner Up was Ghanshyam and Dharen Pandey from FMS BHU Varanasi.
The Valedictory session concludes with Prize distribution by honorable Dr. Amerendra Sahoo.
